Knee problems

The knee very often is the weak point of chains that have their problem cause somewhere else: in the pelvic and lumbar area, in the feet and ankle joints, and others. The knee is an “open” joint; its ligaments stabilize very little, they are more proprioceptive organs. It is the muscles, mainly of the thigh (plus the poplitaeus muscle) which stabilize the knee, and their proper function is an important key point in knee treatments. It is very important to understand the real cause of the problem and treat adequately. See also meniscus problems and gonarthritis.
