Meniscus problems

Meniscus problems are often caused by muscular dysbalances around the thighs and the pelvis. Meniscus degenerations and small, incomplete tears may be normal and not cause pain. Meniscus lesions happen also in sport, dance or other accidents. First I try to understand the real cause of the pain and the situation of the meniscus itself. In general we should try to conserve the meniscus as long as possible, with manual treatments, re-balancing and strengthening of the muscles around the knee, controls and treatments of feet, pelvis and, if necessary, other structures of the body. The goal is to regain an optimal function and stability of the knee which protect the menisci.
